The WCW Galoob wrestling figure line, active from 1990 to 1991, emerged as a formidable contender following the triumph of the WWF Hasbro action figure line. Setting it apart from its Hasbro counterpart, the Galoob figures featured a distinctive attribute: fixed poses, in contrast to the mechanical action moves found in Hasbro figures. Additionally, each WCW Galoob figure was accompanied by a coveted plastic gold WCW belt, adding to their allure. While most of these figures were initially launched in the USA and Europe, Galoob later opted for an exclusive UK release. British fans were treated to repaints of the original Series 1 figures, alongside a selection of new figures donning pre-ring gear, providing a unique offering. Complementing the solo figure packs, a limited number of tag team sets were also introduced, albeit in scarce supply when it comes to locating them in mint condition.
