Marty Jannetty was once paired with Shawn Michaels in the tag team known as The Rockers, but they eventually broke up and became enemies. Michaels went on to become a champion, while Marty left the World Wrestling Federation. When Marty returned, he returned with a vengeance and took the title away from Michaels, only to lose it to him a short time later. Nevertheless, Marty vows to once again wear the gold.
